Gzus, I believe we are. So, what we need to do is check out that passage and study it to see what it means. I wish I had more time to post today, but I don't. So, I'll leave off with this: Today's Christianity is much weaker than Christianity in the past. That's why this country is falling apart because we have not been forthright in proclaiming God's Word to the world and instead of changing the world, we let the world change us. Other than that, quarelling among Christians is yet another problem. I got to go before I post one long, long post. So, I'll be back here on a later date.

I also believe we are in the final church age of Laodicea. There is a real slothful danger in this age, a suttle slide away from the love of Christ, a self reliance, a double-mindedness, and the arrogance to challenge God's very Word. Yet in all this Jesus is calling His bride to repentance, to come out of this world, for all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. If you love the world you have not the Father, if you have not the Father, you have not the Son. No man can serve two masters, yet the church is losing its salt, its preserving nature. It is allowing darkness to go unchecked by the light of God's Word (Thy Word is a light unto my path and a lamp unto my feet). The love of many is growing cold, and God is love, and so too are His children identified by this total obedient love. Read 1 Samuel 15, see how the Lord delights in obedience, so that even David in Psalm 51 made note. Jesus demonstrated that to love is to obey... John 10:17-18 and John 14:31. Don't think of love as some wishy washy don't care if you sin attitude, since that is not love but complacency. The frog is about to boil, and there are way too many people who call themselves Christians hanging out in the water pot of this world. The world is changing rapidly, the church is soon to depart as the next chapter of Revelation begins the final division on the book of Revelation and chapter 4 I believe is the rapture of the church.

inluvwjesus, thands for that post. I couldn't have put it any other way. I wish I could give you example after example of just what you've said. For far too long, I have seen proclaiming Christians living no different than the world. They know not God. There are many professing Christians who can quote verses and passages from the Bible, yet don't act in a way that the Bible instructs us to live. What does that mean? That means they have the head knowledge, but not the heart knowledge, which heart knowledge is the MOST important part. The Bible is not meant to be memorized and used as a book like reading two chapters a day. No, it's meant to be used as taking a little at a time (not necessarily in order) and most importantly, letting it sink in.

Nowadays, there are many professing Christians who hate like the world, listen to the same music as the world, watch the same movies as the world, and are just as idolistic as the world. Many professing Christians praise God with their lips, yet money rules their lives. Jesus said that we can't have two masters.

I wish I knew for sure when the Rapture would happen, for only God knows that. However, with all these events both in and out of the church, I have my sights on seeing Jesus soon. Why? I know I'm not just a professing Christian, I'm saved by His Holy Spirit. Praise God!

How many times I have heard "in the world but not of the world." I'm not surprised at all in the state of the peoples of the world. You pegged it! "In the end times perilous times shall come." Money does not dictate to me but lack of it certainly influence some of what I do or do not do. Letting the meaning of the scriptures sink in is paramount but even more important is applying it to our daily life and relationship with our Lord.
