I am. Whether they are painting or sketching, it doesn't matter. What impresses me is their ability to translate what they see into arm, hand, and finger movements that cause what they see to be duplicated on the paper or canvas. Note that "what they see" may be seen with their eyes or in their mind.

My ex picked up a watercolor of a boy and his dog walking through a snowfall down a road lined with a barbed wire fence by a pasture with cows in it. I thought it was a photograph and finally had to take it out of the frame to look directly at it. Yep. it was a watercolor. Amazing.
