" Do You Celebrate Christmas In A Special Way " ?

I celebrate the Winter Solstice (longest night of the year) on Dec 22 by welcoming the returning of the light (the days getting longer & nights shorter). On Dec 25 I focus on the true meaning of the day - not the glitz, lights, trees, decorations, and presents, but on all people recognizing the humanity in all others regardless of appearances, financial status, place of residence, or religious beliefs.

Jesus had a vision of the world as it should be, and tried to teach it to people during his short time here. Unfortunately, the people only got the messenger and the message was lost in their adoration of him. The sad thing is, we pay lip service to the message for a few weeks each year, then promptly forget it on Dec 26.
