Autoimmune diseases are diseases resulting from a disordered immune reaction in which antibodies are produced against one's own tissues, as systemic lupus erythematosus or rheumatoid arthritis. There are also many different kinds of autoimmune diseases. With dealing with something like this people need help with their mental health. The best way is to talk about it.
I have recently been diagnosed with autoimmune disease of the inner ear after 2 years of insanity. It’s been a really tough road and now that i have a diagnosis i am trying to wrap my head around it. I am on 50 mg of predizone which will be weaned soon. I started methotrexate this week and I’m scared to death. I’m on a low dose and will be increasing to 6 pills weekly by the end of April. I am looking into diet changes and natural supports to boost my immune system. I need help... lol this is all new to me but i want to try and help myself along with my wonderful team of docs. Thanks in advance

I have autoimmune Psoriatic arthritis, I take methotrexate injections, they are a lot easier than the horrible tasting pills.
One thing to keep in mind, do not try to boost your immune system! MTX and the other DMARDS are trying to slow down the immune system that is attacking your inner ear, so if you boost it, it will get worse!
