I have just purchased a 'power balance' wrist band from a sports store. A friend suggested it to me and said it has been a great help to her. So, I;m giving it a trial. I'm not 100% sold on the way it works (holograms chanelling energy) but I am willing to try anything that prevents me lurching into walls.
I haven't had time to go to the website powerbalance.com but the blurb tells me it will improve my balance, increase my confidence, help me feel clearer, calmer and more focused. we'll seee!!!!
Don't forget to vote on friday.
Neither side has made great promises for the likes of us but the present govt has been good to me so far.

Five days later and I am certainly noticing some benefits. Like everything with MS you just never know whether you are enjoying a good patch anyway!
I had an exceptionally busy and quite stressful week, doing three funeral service, all with unique challenges, and I coped well.
So far so good.
Today is 29/8 and the good feeling continues.
I have since heard that all many of chronic conditions can be helped by this wrist strap.
Now, apparently available in neck pendants which will be good for those who would like to
keep it out of sight.
HI, this sounds interesting. How's this election? People are going to get so sick of the while thing, if they aren't sick of it already. Bob Katter has been saying crazy things today apparently.
2nd September already
Still no election results but the wrist strap seems to be doing what it promised. I have had many comments from people who have them - all positive.
Ok, still enjoying feeling pretty good. Balance is improved, but the best benefit is simply the positive feeling that I have.
Now, I am a reasonably calm, pragmatic person but I can say that my general outlook is quite upbeat, even with the usual Ms crap which besets me. (legs like 5ton cement weights.
I have heard a LOT of -ive comments about these bands and I dont blame people for being sceptical, however, I think it's been more than good for me, and well, if its all in my mind, who cares????
Sue, sorry to hear you have been in hospital. Hope you're feeling better.
Here's another unexpected +ive of the band.
People notice it and ask either why I'm wearing it, because they know someone else who has one - which gives me an opportunity to tell them about my Ms; or people ask what it's for - so I tell them it's to help my balance because I have Ms. Either way I I have found it to be a fantastic chance to spread the word!
(it's still doing it's job, by the way!!!)
Hmmm... apparently the power balance band is going to disappear because the powers that be have decreed that it it has been promoted using false advertising.
So, here's the thing ...after hearing it was a fraud I stopped wearing it. For nearly a week I felt pretty awful (ok, Christmas and New Year and several visitors into the mix) but yesterday I just thought 'to hell with it' and put it back on and had an excellent day.
Mind over matter? Who knows.... perhaps it just makes the visitors go home....
Glad it is helping you. I think it was some of the take offs - cheap ones too that they took off line.
I have read of some others having good result from it.
Even if it is mind over matter who cares - if you feel better go fo it. Giving you the opportunity to talk to others about ms is good too.
I was going to get one of those elastic/rubber type wrist things to support ms that say ms on it but never got around to it as havent seen them anywhere that I can just buy it. I do have my name & keys at work hanging from a ms lanyard (around the neck) rather than the work one & that has given me opportunity to talk about ms too.
How is everyone travelling with the heat & floods in Australia at the moment.?
