Because of the immunotherapy my neuro advised me that I have a pap smear and mammogram every year instead of every two. I also have a breast ultrasound.
My doc put 'lumpy breasts' on the radiology form so it all went thru under medicare.
I have all of them this year. Me and my family have to have the mammogram each year even though we are young as both my mum and my 44 year old sister have both had partial mastectomy's from cancer. ( my sister is just on her 2nd dose of chemo) Mum was 15 years ago. The breast ultrasound I have had too ( I also have lumpy tissue) and all have come back fine.
Aren't you just so sick of getting prodded and poked in every oriffice known to man!!!
Oh boy, can I join this one. I come from a family with extremely high cancer. I am the first female in three generations to go through a normal menopause as everyone else had had hysterectomies due to cancer! I did not complain either coz I had finished ALL menopause by the age of 45! Best thing since sliced bread.
I have to have full mammograms done because I have already had two lumpectomies, both in my 20's.
Then I also have had thyroid cancer!
NOW of course just a "touch" of MS.........grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
