Coffs Harbour has now been declared a natural disaster area. As I write, it is still raining. We are fine as we live up in the hills. The worest thing that could happen to us is that we couldn't get into town - but many folk still haven't been able to get home; there are piles of carpet outside almost every home and business in the town area.
On the worst night folk were unable to get home. Many school children ented up sleeping at schools.
Areas around Coffs Harbour like Bellingen were hit much harder and the clean up will go on for weeks.
My partner, who repairs electric motors has had a steady stream of customers with drowned pumps. I guess every cloud has a silver lining!

The cool wet weather is just beautiful as far as I'm concerned!
If they do make it to Coffs it looks like more rain here today. Council dumped a pile of sand on a sportsfield so people can fill sandbags.
My sister and her family - like many other residents of Grafton, have simply moved all their stuff upstairs and are prepared to wait it out.

Isnt it crazy you are flooding & Vic is down to under 30% dam fill level so water restrictions for years. Wish they would put a pipe line in so we could get some of yours & Qld flooding.
