Hi everyone,
Just stumbled over this site so thought I would join in. Think I know some of you at least from the main site & others.
Hope are all doing well. I am struggling with a variety of crap not only ms but other things like vein thrombosis (not dvt the other one) nearer the surface. Going back to the gp again today, at the moment its at least once a week, joked with them last time I should make a permanent booking LOL.
Welcome and sorry to hear what you have beend dealing with. I had the same thing twice after giving birth to my son. He is now 11 and I had to inject heparin for a while until they realised it was superficial. then i was just on Asprin for about 3 months and had to wear the anti-embolism stockings. It was awful as it was in the height of summer. I have not had any problems since but make sure when ever I plane travel that I wear the stockings. I also will not go back onto the pill.
I hope you start to feel better soon, it is all you need with all the other stuff you need to face. We are hear for you and let us know how you get on.
Hi from me, too. I have been on warfran for months following a discovery of several dvts. The plus side is my fortnightly visits to the gp to test my warfran levels. This gives her a chance to see how I'm going generally. She is so supportive and always has time for me.
I feel like such a crock at the moment - even my 'suck it up' mantra hasn't helped much!
I just get sick of thinking I am only 40 and have the fitness level worse than the 60 and 70 year old people I see in the water aerobics class I have just started. I know I have just started the exercise thing again, but it still feels shameful. I look at shows like the biggest looser and think-even though I don't have a weight issue I wish I could have someone train me daily to buid and tone my body they way the do.
I wonder if I could do it with MS eventually build up so that it I am stronger but wonder if my legs and feet will always feel this way regardless.
I hope you both have the thrombo's sorted soon.
