I think that art is very important, especially as a way of healing, no matter what from. So I think it's good to be aware of the benfits of Art, what it does, how it helps people.
It has been a long time since I have posted in here; school has kept me busy but school has also made me realize why art is so important to me. I have found out recently again talking to someone that people have a really slim view of what art is. Art is so many things. I view art as passion. What is something you can't imagine not doing during the day. I picked visual art- that is my outlet... but people see my art and they say "I can't do that." People have their own art they do, the way they arrange their furniture, the way they paint their house, the way they cook, how they interact with their children, how they listen, how they take photos, there is so much beauty in the world- art brings it out. I felt like I was sinking a little in my old friendship- like I had a sense of control; and it is so strange but I get into my classes again and the html coding classes make me feel so calm. I know I can control my art- makes me feel like I have a voice when I wasn't being heard. What does your art do for you? I want to hear from you guys!!
Good for you for finding your inspiration again, going to your classes again and that they make you feel calm. Art also makes me feel my voice counts. It lets me express myself when I cannot find the words for it. I feel better after I can do some art.
