So happy for you Dream!!! I know you have been nervous and waiting for this. So exciting! Now you can relax a bit and just enjoy being pregnant. A happy, healthy 9 months ahead for you..best wishes honey! xo
Carly, So nice to hear you are doing well and jumping right back into the IVF journey. Good luck with the Lupron, I know it gave you headaches the last cycle. Wow, transfer 1 month from today..woohoo! I hope and pray that this cycle goes fantastic for you, you certainly deserve it. Lots of luck to you, and of course you can lean on me for support..anytime, and I am sure all of the other ladies feel the same.
As for me, Dh and I had our consult with RE few weeks ago. I am NOT ready to give up and will be jumping on that IVF road again soon. When AF shows in couple weeks I start bcp, No Lupron this time. I am doing a protocol "Antagon cycle", which means in place of Lupron, I will be on Ganirelix starting middle of stims..not sure if Follistim or Gonal-f..whichever I can get my hands on!! (samples, etc) Also I will be on Menopur. Hoping and praying this will be it for us...please,please,please! Retrieval most likely week of 8/15 as long as all goes well.
Dream- great news!! So happy to hear :)
Carly- I am so glad you are stating again! You better stay om top of that dr this time ;) bring us any questions u have so we can help! How do u feel on the lupron? I if too had headaches and fatigue.
Patrice- I am soo happy you are jumping right back into it! I'm saying prayers for you and carly for your upcoming cycles!
I am having progesterone issues. I asked the dr yest if I could switch to all sup instead of pio cause I have balls in my back. Not knots, balls! He said I could 3x a day but then I got nervous and called back. My nmumber went from over 40 last week to 19 this week so now I'm not comfortable switching. They changed me to every other day pio shots and in between supp 3x a day. I still don't know if I'm getting enough. Do u think they would let me go for a progesterone draw on fri? I would just feel better.....
Carly !! we r all here for you and have missed u actually ..so just post all that you want over here and ladies ..lovely lovely ladies here will support u in every way :)
Patricem..so great ur changing things..am sure it will work better this time for you sweety! Thanks for the wishes !
Krriss :)..ur taking shots and passeries?well..I dont know about that..but I personally take 2 tablets twice a day and one passery twice a day..never checked my progestrone though..must be ok..I think u should ask them for that test..it would make u feel better and if they think u r ok and everything is handled well..it will show u r ok..:)
Thanks ladies for the support..am still in heart beat Euphoria ;)
cant wait to finsih first trimester to tell my family!
Cardinal - Glad to see you again. I have been wondering if all was well for you. Think of you often. And girl, we are all so detailed with info. on here, your family wouldn't even begin to know as much as we do, so support all the way from me as well... Anytime!!!
Dream - So glad to hear the news, I know you were on needles waiting. But now, you have a confirmed heartbeat, and can enjoy being pregnant, just take it easy, and do what the Dr. tells ya. Nothing over 20#, no sex, No extened periods in the heat, etc.... Make sure you have the book "what to expect when your expecting" ..
Krriss10k - Ok.. The progesterone shots were giving me hell in my first attempt with TTC. I had huge knots and it was brutal. I think some people are just not made for that med. So this time around, I have been on progesterone suppositories 3x a day, and also an oral progesterone 2x a day. My levels seem to be doing very well. So I don't know if maybe you can discuss that approach with your doctor. But after I showed my Dr. the knots I had and I explained that we tried everything to disburse the meds. nothing worked. He didn't hesitate to change me over. Its a little more money, but I felt it was well worth it.. Hope you can get it all worked out. But definitely push the issue, I know keeping that # good is very important..
Well, like Carly, I am no longer in the Apr/May IVF space since my first attempt didn't work, but I still feel a part of this group!
I am going back for IVF, this time for a FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer). We have two frozen and I am going the "natural" route, which means no medication until the HCG trigger shot on day 12-13. Shortly thereafter they'll do the transfer - approximately June 30.
After 3 years of trying with 7 IUI's and 1 IVF cycle, I am so ready for this to work.
Jules..lots of luck with the frozen embies. I hope this natural route works, and just think..no side effects to deal with from all the crazy meds.
Kriss10k...you can try putting an ice pack on the area for like 5 min or so prior to the injection, that helps some. I had huge bruises on my butt..ugh! I was doing 1 PIO inject every morning and 2 Prometrium pills vaginally each evening. My RE said I could use the suppositories instead of inject, but he prefers the inject because the progesterone levels can be more accurately monitored with blood work. Good luck, I hope it gets easier or they can switch things a bit for you.
Thank you for the input ladies. This was a FET so my levels are still be controlled by the drs, not my body. I need to wait for the placentas to kick in and take over. I think I would feel better if I had an ultrasound machine at home but I know thats not realistic so I would be ok going to the dr for an ultrasound everyday ;) Its just frustrating!
Everything went well at the Dr. I will post a pic later. Heartbeat was 146. I have made my OB appt. for July 15th. I go again to this Dr. on next Friday... Im getting ready to head out. We are going camping. So excited for some R&R... Have a great weekend ladies...
Thanks Dream. Had a nice relaxing weekend while camping. Didn't do a thing. Just sat in the camp shair and looked around at all the birds, and the trees swaying in the wind.. Had great camp fire conversation, it was nice. I work this week, and then its Vacation time for a whole 10 days. Cant wait!!!
saw embie...heard heartbeat and although the it is hanging in upper corner of uterus..anyone knows about that ?:)
Ladies...it was sooo beautiful :)..my DH was there and smiles so wide and laughed so happily and said we will have a noisy child,lol..
am now 7 weeks 2 days :)
praying for all my sisters
will be seeing a specialist next week :)
