hi betsy well done you !! you are getting better all the time congrats !!
did you check out that site yet ??
my sister takes beta blockers on a daily basis she swears by them but i know now that she has become reliant on them, but as you would only be using them if you needed them then that would be fine xx
My successes this week where all baby steps but felt like being on top of Mt. Everest after I had accomplished them.
I drove everyday this week. I went to places I hadn't been to in 10 months. I went to the recycle several times (it was a place I had a panic attack-go figure that one out LOL). I went to he pharmecy, the accountants in the big city, our local library, grocery store, and post office. I went to the big city Dollar General on the closest edge of the big city. We went to friends house for supper & cards. I walked 1 mile. I use to freak if I couldn't see my house. I'm rarely taking a Xanex but I do take 1/2 of one if I feel like I wouldn't follow through with my plan. I hadn't left the house in months and was afraid to drive, so these were all huge successes for me. I feel like my car is now part of my safe zone and before I couldn't even sit in the car in the garage without having a panic attack. I feel liberated!
This syndrom, illness, whatever it is, can be so confusing. One day you can drive the next day not.
Looking at the list of things you have done is good to see. I enjoy the days that I can actually do very little without thinking it means that I can't rather than I just don't have anything to do. That's what people who don't have anxiety do all the time. My husband isn't obsessed with having to prove that he can go out so if he doesn't there's no thoughts or feelings that something is wrong.
Keep up the good work! Betsy

I am going to start to be more positive and still have sad feelings inside about
losses.
Thank you everyone in the group
Have read everyones post today. Well done Betsy and Petersen, its great when you hear people's success stories, and I bet you both feel good writing it down.
Betsy ~ I have had beta blockers, they helped with my palpitations, and the rush of adrenalin which causes them. Hope they work for you.
Petersen ~ well what can I say ~ wooooooow ~ what a week :):) I have been working on going journeys in my car. I changed my car last year, this one had a lot bigger engine, and I feel SO MUCH SAFER driving now. I feel my car is my biggest hope of getting out into the outside world. I would hate to be without one.
Hi ~ iloverabbits, bren and Kellie ~ hope you are well.
Enjoy your weekend everyone.
Hugs Beth xxxxxxxxx
Today i went to my sisters and had a nice visit i haven't seen her since at least october. The winter here was brutal.
I am hopeing to get to Rekei next week.
This weekend we will be potting our plants outside and perhaps a fence up. Right now they are indoors but growing!

Even though I am disppointed because of course I would love this anxiety to lift and I had hoped maybe this was it, I have to give myself a pat of the back for even stepping out and trying it. I put it into the category of how I have been trying foods that I was afraid to eat.
I feel liberated each time I challenge myself to eat something that I previusly had thought caused anxiety. I think many of us fear food because we have tried to figure out what caused anxiety and we think of the last thing we ate might be it. I hadn't realized how many food phobias I had until I started eating them.

This week I decided I needed to turn things up a notch. I had a bunch of errands on the back burner and I decided I was going to get some of them done this week. I scheduled an eye exam, called the cable guy, started a new exercise routine, went for a haircut and did all my typical weekly chores/errands.
As the week progressed I was stressed at times but I did it! The feeling of accomplishment I have now outweighs the stress and worry it caused and I'm hoping to keep up the momentum into the weeks ahead.
Another note. I did miss a couple tasks on the to-do list but that's OK, I'm not going to beat myself up over it. :-)
Good work everyone! Keep fighting the good fight!
