Good Afternoon!
I went and had a pedicure with my daughter for Mother's Day. Nice treat. The owner of the place also handed out roses to Mom's and Mom's to Be and lemonade. It was so nice.
I really had very little anxiety. I had gone there alone 3 weeks ago before my Florida trip so I knew what to expect. However, this time it was really crowded. They have 20 chairs, 10 on each side. I'm glad they got rid of the mirrors though since that gets my mind really confused with too much mental/visual stimulation.
My counselor has me assuming I might have anxiety or panic wherever and whenever I go out. This is instead of the constant worry and what if?-ing I normally do. I think it is working. Also, I went to bed telling myself to turn off the Panic gene. I read about how "they" scientists have found a gene that is related to people with anxiety and panic. The article metioned how those of us with anxiety also have issues with carbon-dioxide and that's probably why learning breathing techniques can be so helpful.

he is takeing me out for dinner tomarrow at a swedish restarant..
also, tomarrow is mt birhtday too!
i was born on mothers day..
i wish my mother was here to tell her happy mothers day....

Happy Mother's Day Everyone
I had the best mother's day present ever.. I helped Sarah with something and she broke down crying and hugging me so hard.. it was a "thank-you" hug and cry.. and well .. I know how much she appreciated what I did for her.. and it was just the best moment of this whole year.. her tears were of release and joy and just the best a Mama could hope for...
My oldest daughter Tracy stopped in and her two year old who has such a clear vocabulary he just amazing me sometimes.. it's like you can't believe what clarity leaves his lips... anyways they brought me a little gift.. and I am NOT a gift person.. I'd prefer to just get a hug.. but he was so cute carrying this little gift bag and sounding way older than his two years...
Tomorrow .. i'm helping my X (ya my X lol) get some things out of a storage place .. and delivering some of it to Sarah's and I'm paying his storage fee and trading it for a treadmill that he has in storage..
I'm just happy that tomorrow will be sunny and about 50 F.
For me mother's day is everyday... I don't need a special day to know what a joy it is to be a mother.. and also what heartache it can bring when things are not going well for our children... I'm big on hugs and saying 'I love you' .. not as a rote thing but with meaning...
I think the older I get the more I know I am blessed and that it is important to see that in each and every day!!
Sorry your Mom is not there for you to say "Happy Mother's Day" Bren.. my Mom won't be home but she is still here... I know how that feels though cause my Dad left (passed away) 6 years ago.. and I feel an emptiness on Father's Day or his birthday!!
