Sort of a yin-yang thing.
want me to take any benzo
I think I do what your suggesting and it does help
My family doctor who has known me for 8 years said he will only prescribe me .50mg of xanax a day. Right now I really need .75mg a day. Both are very low doses. But because of this my psychologist sent me to a psychiatrist and he will prescribe .75mg (divided over 3 doses a day). He did however really try to get me to try SSRIs (anti-depressants) and I had such bad experiences with them they make me panicky. Knowing how resistant these doctors are has given me the motivation to work hard using books and counseling...and they are working!

We get out to eat, are go for rides in the country which i love. Or go visit a neighbor. We are actually very quiet people. If we go to the park where they have musicians playing or something like that...now that we love.
Thanx Besty :)
I was on Xanax about a year ago...my psychiatrist told me that it's a highly addictive drug & not to be on it for more than a week or two, or your body will start to become dependent & want more. That happened to me & coming off it was really hard. I then switched to Ativan...not sure what the difference is, but I was on that for a few months & then weaned off of that okay.
Have any of you tried fish oil? I read & heard a news story that it does help with depression & can take about a month to kick in. But it's something that most people do not get enough of in their diets & it helps calm the mind & body, as well as the heart. I'm on 3000 mg a day & I think it's working wonders for me. And I like that it's a mineral, not a medication...something our bodies can use without side effects. I get mine from WalMart because that brand, I think it's called Spring Valley, does not leave a fishy aftertaste.
Think positively! You can and you will be okay! My friend told me a good quote: "In the end, everything will be okay. If it's not okay, it's not the end."
I take a multi vitamin/multi mineral. Many people miss the minerals and since we don't eat dirt anymore due to purified water and extra clean root veggies we miss the trace minerals.
I also take one Calcium/Magnesium/Zinc (3 is normal daily dose) and a vitamin D and 250 of magnesium. I tend to notice when I am low on magnesium. Constipation, excema, urge to chew on fingernails and hair.
