i know just what you are going thru having lost 3 babies myself. 1 @ 2 weeks which was not as painful as the ones i lost at almost 4 months and then 4 1/2 months.
you've been through a very traumatic experience not to mention your hormones and body are probably a little messed up which doesn't help matters and probably adds to the anxiety.
the only thing i have to say about the breathing is to keep yourself busy any way you can so you can get back to breathing naturally - not having so much emphasis on it unless it is taking deep breaths in and out.
i used to be in the habit of holding my breath when i was having anxiety until it started to give me chest pains. then sometimes i would hyperventilate.
i am so sorry you are having to go through this.
take care of yourself xoxo
For the breathing, keep a paper bag with you, lunch bag size. It's good to have with you in case you start to hyperventilate. When you notice you are focusing on your breathing and it seems to be getting out of control, concentrate on slowing it down. You can start by taking a deep breath in through your nose, hold it for a second, the slowly release it by blowing it out from your mouth. Just concentrate on doing that and soon you'll find yourself feeling calmer. There should be something about deep breathing on the home page for this group. There is a little poem to go with the breathing that I find helps me considerably! The main thing to remember is to breath in through your nose and out through your mouth and to concentrate on doing it slowly. Don't be afraid to breath in and out of the paper bag if you feel you are hyperventilating. I used to carry one with me all the time when I was having the bad panic attacks. You've come to a good place here Quinn, there are some wonderful people in this group!
Take care and let us know how you are doing!
love & hugs,
Char
