I found some pills that treat tapeworms, you get 3 in the bottle and it's not very cheap. I wasted 2 pills so far and getting frustrated. I crushed the pill up and hide it in canned cat food. The two cats I tried giving it to started to eat and then must have tasted the pill and would not go near the food again. I ended up having to throw it away.

I know I have to go buy another bottle but I can't afford to keep buying them when the bottle is almost $20.00 and that's for 3 pills. Does anyone have any suggestions on a strong smelling food that they won't notice it? I already tried a fish canned food with a little bit of meat baby food and it was a no go. Could I maybe feed half a pill mixed in food at a time. These feral cats are very picky when it comes to food and tasting things I add to it.

TRY TO MAKE A TINY BOWL WITH THE FOOD AND STICK IT IN THE MIDDLE THEN MIX THE FOOD ALL AROUND, DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY ARE SO EXPENSIVE, HOPEFULLY YOU WILL MANAGE, THERE IS SOME SPECIAL PRESCRIPTION FOOD MAYBE IT WOULD HELP, AND YES YOU CAN BREAK THE PILLS, I HAVE DONE WITH MY DOGS, GIVE IT A TRY, LOVE LUCY**

Can I hide the crushed up pill in raw hamburger meat? These cats never bite into the canned food and take big chunks. They slowly and I mean slowly lick the food. They will not eat any canned food that is chunky, it has to be very creamy, I even have to add water to make it really soft and creamy.

Anyway will raw meat hurt them just to take this pill with? Not even sure that will work but I will try anything not to waste more money on these pills I'm throwing away.

sells those same pills for ten dollars, make sure it is tradewinds brand as they generally take it from there.

you can use a larger amount of the moist food and make sure they haven't eaten at all that day so are very hungry.

use a mort and pestle to crush the pills. i generally crush pills into a mere tablespoon of moist food. you CANNOT use drontal at all for this, NONE of the animals eat drontal.

hope it works out. (got to admire the intelligence of the animal though! )

p.s. don't throw it away. the parasite pills aren't harmful, even if your animal refuses it, it may do another animal good to have it. i take parastroy every six months for ME and i always feel better after i take it. i buy it at a vitamin store.
