Hi everyone. I am new to this discussion group. I have been thru several tests for a few years. My question is simple. I have weakening legs and foot drop. Just wondering if people diagnosed with ALS have had these problems come and go before they were diagnosed. I have been thru a lot of testing and everything comes back fine. I have thought for a few years that I had MS but my MRI's are clear. This past three weeks I have had foot drop, weak legs and muscle twitching constantly. I am just trying to rule out what I can. Docs are telling me that it is all psychological at this point. I just can't accept that and my psychiatrist doesn't buy it either. I have days where I am just so fatigued that I can't even find the energy or strength to walk across the room. However, my symptoms come and go so I wanted to know if ALS starts that way or if symptoms come and stay? Thank you all in advance for your help with this.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse.
