Hi, I'm struggling with depression and feeling all alone on this journey. I lost my lower left leg to diabetes a year and a half ago. I'm 61yrs. and blind in my right eye. My life changed suddendly about eight years ago from driving and being independant. I'm usually very outgoing and love to have fun. It took me awhile for my stump to heal. After I healed I decided to be positive and live my life to the fullest. I went to rehab where I learned to walk and was doing well. I stopped wearing my leg a few months ago because of a sore. Now I have to start all over. This has been a roller coaster of emotions. Up and down. I just want to give up, but know I cannot. Does anyome else feel this way? Please, I need other amputee friends to encourage me that understand this struggle.
