I was browsing the groups, and was looking to see if there was a non-specific or covers a wide variety of moods, feelings and other life altering stuff.
I have ADD, Bipolar ll and Ptsd (from childhood neglect and abuse)
right now I'm kind of a shmorgashboard of feelings and life altering stuff.
marriage of 27 years on shaky ground for past 10-15years, husband not being very talkative or forthcoming.
Shoulder surgery 4-1/2 years ago, nerve problems occuring after, creating nerve pain shoulder to hand and down right side. Brain fog, dizzyness, confusion, loss of concentration, plus emotions became more intense.
Brain surgery- 4 years ago, memory and cognative behaviour problems after, more intense emotions plus sensory system got amped up and also gained an A typical migraine from chemical smells. Still regaining the side effects of the shoulder surgery
Doctors at the time couldn't identify where the problems were coming from, so they put it down as anxiety and depression. told me to contiune PT, practice anxiety and stress releaf stuff, exercise and eat and sleep well.
My perstistant searching and complaining trying to find someone to believe me, was very stressful, emotional and exhausting
My husband and family members, couldn't understand, "I didn't look or overy act like there was something wrong with me" Oh and just because I'm on meds for the ADD and Bpll, I should have it under control enough so they don't have to deal with it. So they took the doctors sides and were thinking an anxiety disorder. That I was just looking for sympathy and attention.
I felt like i was emotionally and physically falling apart. I lost about 40 to 50% of my physical abilities. I'm an ameatur landscape gardener,(my joy) Big loss there. My new found mental memory down grade, to low to boarder line, sequential thinking tweeked, having lost some of my sculpting ability, (joy of my life since first grade) I'm Good. Well not as good as I was before the B-surgery. Huge loss there,
2 years ago, Husband, having a hard time dealing with my emotional ups and downs, has an emotional affair with the new woman in the band.
Didn't like me calling it an emotional affair. didn't like my "emotional" reactions to his, befriending, treating better, caring more for, being more supportive of, bring her into my house so he can "colaberate" with her on writing and singing songs together, and wanting to be around this other woman more than he had with me in over 10 years. Said he wasn't doing anything wrong, since they werent' having sex. "really" dude! Blamed me and my "overreacting" and overly unstable emotions, when she decided she'd had enough, saying she couldn't take my interfering with their music colaborating anymore. Husband still holds that against me .
This lead to my husband coming out now and blaming me for the world of stuff he's been holding back on, about me, for 10 years. Which further lead to him saying he no longer really loves me and doesn't want to have to deal with me anymore. I made and tried so many ways to try for reconsiliation. He would always leave me with a drop of hope. Saying that if I could get better enough, get my emotions undercontrol, then maybe he would consider something. wtf new years eve,2016 yells wants divorce, and said I was crazy, in a heated argument. "took it back" after I rambled on about all that I've been having to deal with, and how I thought he had no compassion.
I was then in a state of devastation. My heart was smashed. Stress, anxiety, depression, ice cream, became my best friends. I wanted to leave the planet. had my first hyperventaling panic attack. Not fun.
also during this time, I lost my job, entered the world of hard to get continued "prove it" disability, unable to work due to side effects of surgeries, lost a cat that I had for 13 years, had a falling out with one of my step-daughters, and basically lost myself. And I had to deal with this all on my own with no support from anyone but therapist and one friend.
More crap distancing complications, to living as roommates in our house. I started a self-help plan, including therapist. Loads of mental and emotional work there. Going on a lovely planned vacation out west, with what seemed like a complete stranger was awful. then when we got back, Divorce really hit the table. All this time still having all the side effects from the surgeries.
Found out when we came back from vaca, that the doctors had actually diagnosed me with occipital neuralgia, and something else, a month after my shoulder surgery. They just never told me. (I found it in "my chart") so got comfirmation on that. didn't make a difference to husband. got comfirmations on my brain also, just can't quite put their fingers on the exact cause. Still no change in husband. just wants out. but doesn't want to talk about it or tell his family until dwhen we're actually go to fill out forms and sell the house. (reconstruction underway will need to be finished, plus I had radiation treatments to consider)
it's late, I'm tired and need to go to bed. I have no idea if anyone will be around to read this, so I'll pick this up at a later date.
"tune in next week, for the continuing saga"
Add, Bpll, ptsd, brain farts, migraine thing, Thorasic Outlet syndrome, Occipital neuralgia, the thing that makes you have instant low blood pressure when you bend over and stand back up, stress, anxiety, depression, over weight, marriage ending, and while working hard at trying to make a new and better, positive life journey for myself.
Kinda hard to pick just one support group. I got 2. doesn't quite cover it all.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

My wife divorced me for someone else about 5 years ago. I was devastated. It took a few months before I was able to let go of the anger and resentment, but when I did, things began to change. I told her, I just wanted her to be happy. About 6 months after the divorce, she wanted me back but I was beginning to enjoy my newfound freedom so I politely declined. Fast forward 5 years, my ex is living with her bf and we are very good friends who support one another through all of life's challenges!.
Being married was a source of stress for me and after being alone for awhile, I began to feel much better, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
God Bless
I'm sorry about your divorce. I'm glad you were able to become friends again. Rare thing indeed. I hope maybe someday I will be able to do that.
For now, I'm working on healing. And doing my best to stay positive. and get out as much as I can. I will get there. just hard. I've come a long way in a year, I can go further. I'm hoping he will keep his word, by talking openly to e..
I dont' feel like finishing the saga yet. I'm to tired, and no motivation. Thanks for being out there.
There is a good book that taught me how to let go. That negative judgments are blocks in the communication link we all have with God. It is called, "The 12 steps for everyone who really wants them", which is the AA 12 steps adapted for EHA (Emotional Health Anonymous) This book changed my life for the better. If you pm your address to me, I will be happy to send you a copy for free as I always keep a spare. If not, then I totally understand. You can get it used on amazon for a few dollars. I really believe it will help you.
God Bless
The forgiveness is tough. At least for my husband. I never been hurt that bad before. And he doesn't get it. He actually doesn't understand why I'm so hurt, by all that he's done. I figure I'm doing ok, I don't want to destroy all his belongings, or all our marriage pics anymore. I don't feel like I hate him anymore. I can't talk civil and tolerant to him now. I had to accept that what I want from him, Acknowledgement an apology, and to feel like I was heard.
thank you for the book idea. I have several of my own that have been a great help. "The power with in you" and a 30 day meditations for finding joy, peace and purpose in life's challenges" from a group of woman that survived cancer and got together and created a "program" site, (You can find it on FB) called Trust Your Journey. I also have God. He has been my rock and my comforter. I have a wonderful playlist of about 2hrs of upbeat Christian rock music. All positive affirmations, and positive messages.
I've been going through a lot of mental, physical, social, and personal loss's this past 4 years. So when my husband laid all this on me. I was basically done. I've been really working on me and my new positive journey for almost a year now. I amaze myself sometimes after going back through some of my early journals, to see just how far I've come. I know it's going to take me awhile to get to a point where, the pain, hurt and disappointment is not so prevalent in my life. We decided to do the Legal Separation, so I can stay on his health insurance. The next step is finding me a place to live. and working out all the financial, support stuff. I'm going to be on disability for an unforeseen amount of time. Radiation treatments are over. Neurologist is next and then, a neuro psych test to see what my brain is actually capable of doing. Let me tell you it is not fun, loosing parts of your brain functions. Memory, sequecial (sp?) thinking, My natural knack for sculpting. And I'm really good at it. So on top of everything else I've been trying to retrain my brain. I'm out learning new and different things. Trying new avenues.
I cry, get mad, get frustrated, sad, and loose patience with myself, others, the world and I just want to scream. Make it all stop!! I'm exhausted!
God is there at those times to remind me of that inner strength that I have. And that I will get through this. I told Him, I would like it if He kept me off the edge for awhile though. His answer is "not yet". I love my conversations with Him. And He likes the conversations also. And He understands this is hard for me. And as much as I don't like it. He has to let me fall and make my mistakes, in order to learn from them. like a parent watching their child learn to walk for the first time. Falling is part of the learning process.
Oh, sorry I got carried away. I'm having a fairly good day. I don't hurt past a pain level 2, my brain is not in a fog. And there's no bad feelings towards my husband. I even made him soup cuz he came home from work sick. :)
thanks again for your words. I can use what ever folks are willing to share. Can never get to many positive thoughts or messages.
