I live in apartment complex where there are a lot of teen age boys with lots of time on their hands and nothing to do so they sit around in front of my door and they keep coming and knocking on my door and asking for sodas and I finally got tired of it because I'm not a vending machine. I live on disability and can barely afford to get by from month to month and I can't keep giving stuff away and I like my privacy so I finally told them no and to stop knocking on my door. Well the next morning I get up to go out and do some grocery shopping and my license plates are gone.
I know I shouldn't make assumptions but it's sort of obvious what happened they see me pull into the parking lot all the time and they know which truck is mine. So anyway I call the police to come out and file a report and these kids are sitting there laughing while the police are at my door, they inform me that they have to de register my vehicle so I have to go through all the process of getting it inspected and re registering it again and I just don't have the money right now and if I leave it in the parking lot the pple at the complex will have it towed away. I can get a one day temporary registration and drive it out of town to my parents house out in the country and leave it there until I can afford to get all the things done to get it permanently registered.
The other problem is that I think the transmission is going out and it a forty mile drive to my parents house by freeway and if I it goes out completely I will just be stuck by the side of the road and I won't be able to afford to hire a tow truck so I will have to somehow get it the rest of the way but I don't know how. and it will take me a really long time to save up money for the repairs.
But when I finally am able to get it fixed and get it back and park it at my complex these kids will be free to steal the plates again or jam sticks in the door lock or pour sugar in my gas tank and everything else you can imagine because I can't watch it constantly. I just signed a new lease so I have to stay here for at least another nine months and I couldn't aford to move even if I decided to break the lease which would make it really hard to rent somewhere else because it would be on my record that I skipped out on a lease and I sure can't aford to buy my way out of the lease.
So I'm just so upset right now and I don't know what to do I can't leave it here for months with no plates or insurance on it. and I don't know if I can drive it away but I have to make a decision by September 19th when my insurance runs out. I know I'm really rambeling here but I just don't know what to do there is no way for me to win. What do you think any ideas?

I am so very sorry for the worries and problems these boys have caused in your life. I honestly think you should take it up with the strata council to look into these vandalizing matters. It is the complex's duty to help keep everyone in their complex happy and safe. It may be wise to put in a complaint of the vandal incident and to perhaps request them to bring it up in a notice so other tenants are aware of this happening and that everyone is vulnerable to being victims of such injustice, Maybe your complex even has surveillance footage in the parking garage you never know (that way you can press charges).
Either way just bringing these boys actions to light may scare them from doing further damage to your truck since everyone in the complex will be keeping an eye out for their own and everyone else' property (more people knowing and more eyes watching these boys should make it hard for them even thinking of striking the same way again).
Again I'm sorry for the distress and headache these boys have caused. If you know where they live perhaps bring up the accusations to their parents. Mention you're not putting any blame however you find it to be enough of a coincidence that you did want to mention something. If the parents have suspected their boys of being up to no good perhaps they'll find a punishment or find ways to keep them on a tighter leash.
Remember Christopher you are a victim here, you have the right to bring this matter up and ensure these boys don't have the advantage of plotting further schemes in the shadows. Bringing their actions to light will make it harder for them to act again.
