Alcohol Recovery Without 12 Steps Community Group
This group was created to explore various recovery paths for Alcoholism. We generally chose to explore paths outside of the AA model, or ones which incorporate, but are not limited to AA. Anyone wanting to learn and explore how to become free from alcohol addiction are welcome. Our main goal is to support each other with compassion and decency, while remaining open minded...
Someone correct me if I am wrong please. I am just a mere mortal, not a doc :)
If you find out that you have it, it's very important to modify your diet so that your liver can process toxins more easily. I don't know all the "in's and outs" of this stuff, but I've done some reading and I've been on the cirrhosis board of DS. It's a great place for information.
I was lucky to have no signs of cirrhosis despite the years of drinking but others inc my friend have not been so lucky
Do everyhting you can to avoid this
See link on info regarding this or google "cirrhosis"

This is more motivation for me to not drink!
It's kind of funny. I have this morbid fascination with the effects alcohol has on my body so if you go to my google and type "a" you get a list of horrid alcohol related searches, "l" for liver problems and even "bright yellow diarrhea" which I learned was alcohol ketoacidosis. Every time I have some symptom, I look it up and research and see if it's drunk related. If it's intestinal or head related, it usually is!
It went back to normal though- no special treatment other than sobriety. I exercised, but I do that anyway.
