I would have to agree...when I was 18 I dated a 30 yr old man, and had to have a special lunch with my brother and sister-in-law to just break the news to them, for the fact that my brother was younger then him, and then when I was 20, I dated a 39 yr old man, and my family consistly(sp)teased my about him and asking about his socail security..it was funny for about a min...but then I got a lil mad...My family is very supportive, and just as long as im happy, but for others acceptance and people judging (which i really dont care eaither way, just as long as he treats me with respect and honesty!)

Right now, as my husband is entering his 50s and has incurred health problems, I'd have to say it's impacting our physical relationship. Sigh.

I am 23 years old and my boyfriend is 38- we have been together for 2 1/2 years and this has been the most amazing relationship I've even been in. Both of our families have been very supportive and the only judgements came from his friends. He is a well known Dr. in our community and I was the receptionist at the hospital so there were many questions regarding my intentions. Once they got to know me and our relationship evolved they more or less accepted us as a couple. My only concern is that he is divorced and has no plans to ever get married again. Me, on the other hand, would like to get married some day and would also like children in the far far future. Which he is not against having children in the future but I refuse to have children with a man in his late 40s to 50s, it isn't fair for the children.

I'm 38, my wife is 27. The main issue we have is i'm feeling the biological time clock ticking and we want children. Because of all her medical problems (arthritis, psoriasis both of which were hereditary) we have decided it needs to be me that gets pregnant and the clock is ticking.

I love being with him, granted at timesâ?? heâ??s overbearing and a little controlling, but sometimes, he just feels insecure about our relationship. I tell him, â??Because youâ??re judging by the way you had always lived.â?? And his only replied has always been is, â??Your right, thatâ??s the only thing that I can go by.â?? So he always needs to know where Iâ??m going and what for. And when I take longer than he expects me to take, he questions me as soon as I get home. {My daughter and I live with him}

He always positions himself when he argues with me. Such as, â??Just because Iâ??m old, do you think I need to take this sh*t?!â?? There are sooooo many lines like these, which I usually hear about once every 2 months. And especially when our relationship is going good.

none of my friends accept it at all. both male and female prefer i stay within my own age bracket and resent the time i spend with people who aren't in that age bracket. the "friends" who try to act as though they are supportive, every single time, have ended up being users, who just want to get in somehow to meet someone for themselves because we are artists or even worse, want to live in my shoes totally and for me to be gone from my own life. i've actually had a few of those show up and its repulsive.


his friends are usually fine and he knows who i don't like and family is generally fine especially the ones from europe. the general public can be a problem, though if you have children with you, they back off. i don't think they do it on purpose its just tricky to figure out. lol. if you live a life where you are separate from everyone else a lot of the time in public, it doesn't matter anyway, but that kind of life is not a main stream life at all. its too bad age matters, especially when everything else is perfect. and i think it is generally more accepted once you hit your 30's than it ever will be when you are still in your 20's so maybe the answer is for no one to marry before the age of 31. lol.
