Welcome to the group morgan43201! You're doing the right thing by looking for help. I remember when I first started reading up on NPD - it was quite illuminating to say the least. Some people in this group and also the other support group for adult children of n-parents have had to live with their parents, so looking through some of the old topics may be helpful. There are also a lot of great internet sources and books at the library that could help. Some good books are "Will I Ever Be Good Enough?", and "The Narcissistic Family". The biggest thing I'd say for quick advice, is don't put any credence into the negative things your father is saying to you - it's more a reflection of him. Listen to yourself, trust yourself, let yourself feel whatever emotions you're feeling, then start setting up healthy boundaries with n-parent. N-parent doesn't always respond well to placing new boundaries, but if you're firm then over time they learn to accept them. Good luck to you!

Possibly enroll in college full time and live on campus?
So what if you have to get loans.
Don't let him keep you from living life!
It is so much better away from these people and you may be able to get some free counseling at school.
