I've been no contact with my narc 'mother' since the start of July.
In all honesty she probably hasn't noticed until I didn't return her calls which started a couple of weeks ago.
(This is her warm up to Christmas, wanting to stay here no doubt..confirmed by golden child bro who emailed wondering if I knew what She was up to for Christmas).
Ugh.
I'm having nightmares and getting 5 hrs sleep (is that PTSD?) recurring nightmares as when I was a child, injuries and circular saws feature heavily as they did when I was a preschooler....
If I visualise a circular saw or a table saw I get instant sweats with full body shudder and feel like I might puke...so that's what Im waking up with all night, racing heart etc.
This just started with the phone calls.
MIL let narc talk to DD(3yo) so DD is now confused as 'Granny' wasn't mean and didn't say bad words to me on the phone, so she's learned to be happy...God HELP ME! I really DO NOT want to screw my own kid up.
I'm so raw, I'm dizzy, dazed and overwhelmed, I'm on the brink of tears all day and exhausted.
I know this feeling will last til almost December if the phone calls don't start again (they've stopped for a couple of days now...let's hold hope for that, where hope is a foolish thing in dealing with a narc. mother.)
I'm too stressed and need help. DH is fantastic, but this stuff is so far over his head that it's simply unfair to lean on only him.
But I don't trust anyone, so off to the therapist I must go.

She's booked a cruise to this part of the world, fucking can't even hope for Iceland to blow up and keep her away if she's coming on a fucking boat!
Dh will be explaining the trespass laws here in the states and how it will mean she is arrested.
I hate this so much!
Today I got an invite from her BFF's daughter, inviting me to celebrate the BFF's birthday in TX, where they are going on cruise, presumably with my NM.
I'm trying to consider the safest 'no thank you' response to give. Thankfully it was by email and not a phone call putting me on the spot.

We give the gifts, usually a small toy or a book and don't tell my daughter where they're from...that will become harder as my daughter is well on the way to teaching herself to read and all the books are inscribed "From Granny".
My birthday passed a gift and card, i did not respond.
She didn't turn up on the door step either.
