Hello all, 


I'm new here and looking for support. I have not been diagnosed with ADHD but I feel like I have it. Not too long ago, i was watching a video about people with ADHD and being aware about it. That it's not so much an attention disorder but more about having a problem with time, at least that what i understood from it and it resonated with me. 


I am personally restless: got 20 projects but hardly completing them, usually leave a half hour before work so i can make it on time, usually seen as 
"weird" or different and constatly doing things alone. SOmetimes, i wish i had people with me to help me make decisions or work on a project with folks but i'm easily told that i could do it. Like fore example, i wanted to make a game but i asked some of my family for help in diferent departments (such as art and music) but they were too busy so i told them that i would hire people to help me and they told me that i could do it myself. but making a whole game is kinda hard and there's a certain look that i'm looking for, not to mention how long it would take to do it all simply on my own! I mean, i guess i could do it by myself and i have made short still-in -the process games but people tell me that i need to do better on the artwork. It kinda feels like a lose lose situation!


but aside from that, i was taking a mini workshop froma psychiatrist who happened to have ADHD as well and everything she said hit me! lIke, this makes sense. i could relate what she was going through! So i thought i'd reach out and share my story and possiblyget involved in the community? i also enjoy video games if that wasn't stated alread since maybe only connecting because of adhd might be limiting.

New here also. Struggled with trying to figure out exactly what my deal is for the last 30+ years. Was diagnosed at 20 as BiPolar II (BPII) and began treatment for that and still receiving treatment for that, though in the past 4-5 years, I've been treated for ADHD as well and have reduced in both intensity and frequency, any depressive/manic states that I have since being on ADD meds. Have also reduced my BP meds down to only one left, now and still doing well. I still find it difficult to find a medical provider that understands or believes that I am ADHD, since I wasn't diagnosed with ADHD as a kid. I've been told multiple times in the past year that they believe I'm BP, but don't believe I am ADHD. I found that the symptoms\characteristics that I exhibit are an extreme case of ADHD, and they overlap with the same symptoms of BPII. It is very frustrating to finally feel like I'm making a breakthrough in my overall well-being only to be told that "anyone would get a boost in mood" if they were on a stimulant.
I haven't really noticed issues with "time" as you have, but I do sometimes have multiple projects going on at the same time. It helps me to stay busy. They may last forever, but as long as there isn't a time constraint on any of them, then I don't see the problem in having multiple projects going at the same time.
I too like video games. The ones that engage my problem solving type of thinking like city building games or process improvement type of games.
Hopefully you don't run into the same opposition that I have if you try to find treatment for ADHD. My advice would be to keep looking into it and if you truly feel that you are ADHD, then keep pursuing treatment, regardless of the opposition you may run into.
