Daughter undiagnosed as of yet

hi my daughter is going through tests and have been waiting 8 months now for second appoitment has anyone else taken this long. She is suspected ADHD from school due to behaviour, concentration, acting younger than her age and struggling academically with everything apart from exceeding expectations with a reading ahe of 13 although she is 8. It's so hard as the police have been called by neighbours as she screams the house down and throws things when I say no. She has also been violent in school twice and is very sensitive

I'm really new to this group and all groups I'm really desperate to find someone who is going through the same things as I am my son was just diagnosed with ADHD and is in the process of another diagnoses possibly ODD . You situation sounds a lot like mine which is why I'm reaching out my son is not doing well in school except for reading "when he wants too" otherwise he's so behind because he won't do any work or listen to Amy rules again unless he sees fit. & my house is flipped upside down the second he hears NO or something doesn't go his way he becomes angry volatile now his favourite phrase is you do nothing for me .... I'm heart broken because I love him so much and I, so scared he's not going to get better and be successful in life , .... sorry for the rant but maybe it helps to know your not alone too....

As an ADHD person this sounds like me when I was a kid, and I would suggest mabey getting a test for ADHD if you want.
Some tips mabey a toy or soft rock she can play with while sitting, I used to do NY homework on a medicine ball so I could bounce and rock while studying.
Also for some ADHD people caffeine calms them, i am one of the people caffeine calms down so I don't drink coffee but if you want you can try that.
I am NOT a doctor I'm just saying what has helped me with my ADHD.
Please remember if it is ADHD she really can't control it so don't blame her because its as natural as her eye color to her.
