My 5 year old has ADHD and he is so angry and defiant a lot of times. He also says and does some of the meanest things to the rest of his family. I think I have been called every name in the book besides foul names. He looks for ways to pester or be rude to others and I can't seem to get him to understand that he is hurting us and himself by acting this way. He is on a small dose of ritalin in the mornings right now and it seems to help him but it wears off around 12:00 in the afternoon or so. Just in time for him to get home from Kindergarten and then be obnoxious all day at home. I have a call into the Dr. to see if we can go to a full day dose of medicine because I don't know how to deal with these constant behavioral problems he has. Does anyone have any suggestions for me I am new to this ADHD as my child was just diagnosed so I am not sure how to deal with all of this.
