Adhd parents Community Group
Lets share our axperiences with our kids what had woked what hasent and how our kids are similar and different with thier symptoms of adhd.Is medication a good choice? Or anyone trying any alternative as Drake institude to change the brain waver by neuro feedback?

I know this involves 2 seperate Support Groups, but I thought I would give it a try. I had my 11 YO daughter evaluated and diagnosed with ADHD in July 2007. I currently give her medication when she is at my house. (My ex has residential custody so she goes to school by him-3 hours away from me.) She does great when she is medicated but is very challenging when not. She is beginning to have MANY difficulties at school, socially, academically, behavior-wise, and my ex will not even begin to think about the fact that something might be wrong. I see ALL the signs that she is so ADHD and want to take him back to court. I can't afford an attorney so I will be going without one. My question is.....has anyone gone to court with an ex
-to fight for custody?
-to get your ex to have your child evaluated?
anything to do with ADD/ADHD.
I want both sides of the coin here. If you lost...If you won....WHATEVER
I'm looking for some insight on the subject.
I do plan on taking him back to court in the near future but I want to be educated and prepared for any possible outcome. Thanks so much for anything anyone can offer. If you want to send a message directly to me, I'd appreciate anything on the subject.

i don't have my son on meds. we have a few reasons but i work with the school and him on behavior management. its a bumpy road but we are making it. there is a web site i use that gives me info on different things i can try at home and work with the school. it is : additudemag.com they have a lot of artical that on may be helpful to you plus there is another place i thought about but i have to look up the address.
