Today I celebrated 190 days sober. I wanted to join this group, not because I am actively using, but because I want to show my support to you Misssy2 for having the courage to reach out to people the way that you have, even in the face of adversity! As alcoholics, most of us are our own worst critics so it can be tough when others criticize as well. It has been hard to read some of what has transpired on the Alcoholism board and I am sure I'm not the only person who has silently had your back. All I can say is keep being you! =)

Anyway, as I've mentioned before, I have read tons of posts on DS and commented on a couple, but this is the first time I am posting myself. For some reason I'm finding myself shy to open up. I've been working on a journal for awhile now that I hope to post in the next few weeks. When I do, I will be posting an invite for people to read it. It will likely be long so for those that aren't interested, I completely understand, but I really want to share some of my story because I know one of the things that has helped me tremendously, in regards to my struggles with both alcoholism and anxiety, has been reading other people's stories. It is so comforting to know we are not alone!!

On a side note, you have mentioned your love for Dunkin' Donuts coffee on some of your posts. I went to NY in 2010 with some friends and we stayed in a house right on the Hudson in Weehawken, NJ. There was a Dunkin' Donuts a couple of blocks from the house and I fell head over heals in love! I live in Southern California and Dunkin' Donuts just started making their way out here a few months ago. I am thrilled that within the month there will be one close enough for me to stop on my way to work! Any recommendations?
