What am I joyful about? Well on Fool's Day... one year ago... I quit smoking. I figured I had to be a fool to be smoking... so I chose it as my quitting day.
What have I gotten in a year without smoke? Er.... up to a month ago 38 pounds. That was a small price to pay to walk away from cigarettes. The weight gain has stopped and in fact, I've lost 15 pounds... still hoping to lose another 15 pounds... another journey for me...
Anyway, I just wanted to share my anniversary with you...

I know loads of folk who got a "little cuddly" when they stopped smoking! Some remained cuddly - others not - but every single one of them was really glad to have stopped smoking - mainly cos of the cost really! *smiling*

CONGRATS :) Good For you... 3Days ago On March 29th I was an 11year Quitter Myself... Funny tho, I remember THAT Day better then I do Most Birthday :) I liked 'Why" you Picked that day... :0) Just know.. I have Never Precieved you anything close to a Fool tho... ;-)
I Sat down at my Kitchen table and did what I Do Best :) I WROTE... I Sat there and wrote a 3 page letter to my Grandma in Heaven (Butterfly Grandma;-) and I Ask her for her Strength to See me thru a Life without Cigarettes... And now being an 11 Quitter... I Can say she has Never Failed me :0)
It was not easy Nor without withdrawl or cravings, BUT... The Reward has been LIFE... Yes I Too Packed on a Few Pounds myself... but Mine was more in the 2nd year then the 1st... The 1st I had to stay Constently busy... :0) I'm Still Working on getting it Gone... Seems to Linger ALOT Longer then it Once did
;( Or it Could be I Just bacame Lazier... that too is a Possiblity...

My clothes are what was telling me I needed to start doing something different... shirts were getting tight... jeans well if I inhaled and held my breath long enough I was able to button them...
The good part is I can see my toes again... anyway... just a little more and I'll be happy...
I can't use that short for my weight idea (though I like it) because I am 6'4"
I 'm not smoking myself but I two of my sisters do and they never manage to quit..
