Hey everybody,
Wanted to stop by and say I made it. I arrived on the 18th at 8:30 AM. By that time I was pretty well shot and just wanted to sit back and relax, with my shoes kicked off and my feet up in the air. Being 6'4" and traveling in coach really made me very tight but I did have a wonderful trip.
I was in Chicago a few days after their major snowfall and arrived in England a half day before the weather turned bad here. Not sounding tough, but the weather they call bad here is really wonderful beautiful weather. And when I say "they" I mean the newspapers and TV stations.
Karen seems right at home in this weather and I love it because everyone thinks it is cold out and for this Nebraskan it is wonderful weather.
It has been a wonderful journey. The narrow roads and sidewalks have taken a little getting used too... but all in all it has been wonderful...
My dream of always wanting to meet someone from our little group has become reality and has been going better then I ever dreamed. What Karen shares on here is not a show... she is that same person in reality. A wonderful friendly soul who has no fear of speaking her mind.
Tomorrow we are heading for Liverpool... there was no way I was traveling this far without going top the home of the Beatles. After that, just some relaxing time getting to know each other better.
I think I have done very well with jet lag. The first day I was awake for 25 hours before I finally crashed. I'm still feel the strangeness with the time difference... but I am functioning. What I mean is at midnight, I feel I should be eating something... since in Nebraska it would be 6 PM. But I don't think it has slowed me down on what we have been seeing and doing. Karen has been a great hostess and letting me be a tourist and explaining things as we go.
And now, that I am settling in... I've realized that Karen and everybody else doesn't have the accents... but rather... er... it's me. *smiling*
And I don't know if I will ever get used to the way traffic travels... everything is backwards... or maybe I'm backwards... buit me walking near the road keeps Karen wide awake...
Anyway, I just wanted to stop by and say "HI" and that my vacation has been going extremely well...

Yes!!! I can't promise, but .........I will try and prevent one of our members being knocked down on the roads over here! Will have to get him some baby reins! *laughing*

Yes Please Make sure Dave Makes it Safely thru the Streets, I too would def. be Out of my Element had i had to learn a New way of Driving, ...lol... For I struggle with the US way bad Enough :0)
Hope your Holiday is More then you could ever dream it to be and then some, Grateful to have you Both in my Life, and Along on my Journey as well :)

Well... guess what? Everyone's plates were cleaned... so Karen got to experience my love of cooking tonight and I must admit it ended up being a very good meal... *smiling*
