Hi folks,
Greetings from across the pond!!!! The pond? The Atlantic Ocean. Yup, spending another holiday season with Karen. Got here on Monday morning after a long day of flying and waiting on Sunday.
I believe I got over the jet lag and today we went to the nearby town and enjoyed a day of strolling... it feels like yesterday that I was here... I do remember my way around and this time I even know better then to walk in the streets since these folks drive on the wrong side of the road... LOL
Anyway, just wanted to say hi... it still amazes me that two days ago, six time zones and 5,000 miles I was in Nebraska...
Having a good time, Karen always makes me feel right at home and her friends have always welcomed me with open arms... so I do feel right at home....

At 6ft 4 and NOT of delicate build you are quite a handful - ESPECIALLY when you fall down bus steps carrying bookcases, manage to nearly break your toe on my fireplace, trip over the kerb carrying heavy shopping and STILL sometimes step out into the road into the path of on coming traffic - forgetting that we drive on the CORRECT side of the road here! ! I think as you are learning - TRAFFIC has the right of way here (well thinks it does!) and we will run you over! *giggle* and beep the horn to boot!
You ARE jolly good entertainment though I must say! *giggle*
Heavens above! I just pray you manage to return to USA in one piece!

I wouldn't laugh with me... I'd laugh at me... it was a true "America's Funniest Home Video." We were on the second deck of the bus and as we were coming down the steps the driver stepped on the gas and I went from the top step to the bottom step (8 steps) in under two seconds.
I did not drop the bookcase, it was in between my legs and my nose was planted into the bus wall at the bottom of the steps. I was laughing and so was Karen. Well actually the whole bus was laughing...
