The softer side of growing up in a dysfunctional home... a sanctuary to feel home with friends and never alone.

A week ago I was upset. Someone who was a terror for me on MIP was back... and with her original account... when I saw that I knew trouble was far behind. There were other warnings signs before that... but seeing that account... I knew it was going to get ugly.
I went to bed that night, just in shock, I knew NOTHING about this. I was the one who banned this person... not once but seven different times under seven different names. But now her original profile was active.
Saturday and still no news about why this happened. Then by Saturday night I learned like everyone else the "charges" against me. And the thread was closed... I couldn't even defend myself. To say I was upset is putting it mildly.
Sunday came and I knew I had to leave. But I wasn't going to leave quietly. I wasn't looking for a fight... but John had ignored me all weekend... he was going to listen to me and then I would leave. My plan was to wait for the chat room meeting to start and then post it. I figured that would give me an audience for at least an hour or so before he deleted it.
But it stayed up and John attacked me again. But now I had no way to defend myself... I had deleted my account. So I just sat by and watched. And I witnessed folks trying not to take sides but to somehow try and figure out what in the world just happened. And the more questions that were asked... the more insane it got.
And in a calm voice, Amagami said it wonderfully, "You've answered my questions." And the exodus began. Thankfully, whether she knew it or not Karen had found us a home on this board. And the rest as they say is history.
I don't know how to link things yet but I am going to try, if the link doesn't work check out my journal. It is a tribute video to all of you and thank you so very much for letting me be a part of your journey.
