Hello new here. I'm 41, male full urinary incon due broken cervical screw causing nerve damage. I've been on disability since 2010, due to long term psych condition. I'm unable to work or drive already cause of processing stress and anxiety.  Was originally having nocturnal Eurasia from nightmare/flashbacks or from the more newly discovered screw issue. Additionally had OAB of 4× an hour for a couple of years then started dribbling and couldn't get myself to go with any control. If I feel anything now it's just I'm either already dribbling or letting out a partial void which I tend to refer to as "piddling". I don't yet quality for Medicare cause of the stipulations of my disability status. I'm barely able to afford to get by with 2 roommates. So diapers especially ones that work are a struggle. I personally have no problem wearing a big thick thirsty diaper rather than something cheap and flimsy making worried about potential leaking. My state's Medicaid only approves attends poly briefs as there best option. When that didn't surfice suggested I wear double and that was prior to me being 24/7 instead of overnight. I'm having to change around ever other hour or so during the day combined with defective tapes left and right that are tiny and tricky on fingers with nerve issues. Crazy to use so many in a day when I could be using a product like northshore megamax and only use 3 or 4 diapers a day. But I'm unable to pay for a fulltime supply nor does Medicaid do any kind of reimbursement. There needs to better options for low income/disabled people. I know most of which would so reluctant that they take whatever Medicaid gives them regardless if it was sufficient. I tried looking into "diaper banks" in my state of Missouri and only found resources for babies. I'm only 41, I know there others that would benefit from better incontinence supplies that are actually compatible to their needs. Instead what I get, something more designed for use in hospitals where a nurse would regularly change the product ever 2 hours. Not exactly ideal for anyone living a life with any form of activity, employed or disabled. If you know any options I haven't miraculously discovered in the past decades, then please let me know.
