bowel incontinence sux....I have issues with that but not that frequently....it seems to me you have frequency there.....what is underlying the cause of lack of control?
Mine is IBSD.....if I eat something that sets me off I get diarrhea and poop myself too.....

I have pheriphial neuropathy originally I was just having problems with urinary incontinence but slowly and steadily kept having bowel accidents to now where I have 2 to 3 a day sometimes

A big part of getting used to. And accepting bowel incontinence. Is the right products. Seems Like You already know what You need. I am a 51 year old mother of 3. Semi quadriplegic. I have dealt with complete bladder & bowel incontinence for 23 years. Unfortunately a lot of this stuff just never gets a lot easier. Even with the best protection. Occasional leaks happen. Bowel accidents are the worst. I could tell many embarrassing stories. I'm in a wheelchair and have care giver companions and aids. as well as My husband helping take care of Me. It helps to talk with others though. So feel free to ask and talk here.

Thank you brandie1970 the hardest part of it to me are changing it’s such a process my left leg brace goes from my foot to my thigh in order to change I have to take off my shoes then pants and leg brace so it makes going to the store or anything very difficult when I have bowel movements in public I can’t change until I get home then the bulky ness of my protection makes it hard to hide unless I’m wearing sweat pants. It does make me feel better being able to talk to people with the same difficulties

Hi. I'm 40. I am autistic. I have been in diapers my whole life for pew and poop. I cannot feel when o have to go until I already have..some days will be harder than others.you will have to carry a backpack for your supplies that is hard sometimes until you get use to it. And messing accidents in stores don't get easier either. But you will adapt and you will succeed. Just do not let anyone make you feel like your less because you have to wear diapers. I felt that way all the time growing up especially as a teen. You are not less. You are important. And you are strong for getting up and facing this everyday and every night. Don't let any one tell you or make you feel differently.

I really don’t carry a backpack or “diaper bag” because it would to difficult to try an change in a public bathroom even a handicap bathroom with having to deal with taking off my leg braces I really have to lay down in order to change myself sometimes I wish I had a care giver some days

Hi Gregory...yes it is difficult. I also have to pay down to change and also after seizures I have to have someone change me to. I try to double diaper when I have to go out but I always carry my backpack with a adult changepad to lay on in case I poop and have to change while out. It makes life hard because its not like they make change stations for adults like they do for kids..so I end up laying on dirty bathroom floors a lot. But I guess its better than riding the bus home in a messy diaper.

bowel movements are never fun but knowing your product and how it handles helps a lot, it goes without saying plastic pants or at least a plastic diaper will make worlds of difference for dealing with a bm's odors. Chlorophyll helps the odor too. I recommend for comfort calmoseptine or some kind of barrier cream.

I was born along time ago never really totally developed physically and due to being a diabetic was put back in diapers to keep my wife and things dry.I was only urine incontinent for yrs but started having some bowel issues that is the worse.

With the right protection. Nobody has to know but You. I'm in a wheelchair. I usually wear full cut dresses and skirts. Or baggy sweat pants. If I leave home. I make sure My caregiver has Me in a overnight brief & booster pad. Or maybe even a second larger brief. If We will be out long. And I wear control top tights or hose over that. Most of the time I can't feel or tell if I have had a bowel or bladder accident. So its always when I get home and have to be changed. When We find out. But I have had some really bad bowel events in public and most of the time nobody knew. We also use nullo to cut down on the smell.

I hear a lot of people talk about nullo how good does it work? Does it help out with the smell that much?

Yes it cuts down on the smell quite a bit.
