I would really like to "get the word out" also about this group. I think it is the most devastating thing I have ever gone through, completely abandoned after 38 years with my husband. He just "disappeared" , and has not even attempted to make contact with his parents, siblings or our 3 children. He was seen in Daytona Beach, alone in a hotel in September, and told police he was "starting over". I think he just doesn't want his past mistakes in our lives together to exist. He wants to erase everything. ??? How does one do that??
Meanwhile, I am proceeding to divorce him by publication and I have all of the responsibilities from our debt, most of which were incurred by him regarding his injury 6 years ago. We had to borrow on the house while he wasn't working and now the debt is pretty large. Not his, though! I would take him back in a second, can you believe it? I truly believe that he thinks this is the best thing for all of us.

It truly is devastating. Especially when you live a third of your life not realizing that your behavior can traced directly bad to abandonment as a child. I feel like a 26 year old idiot who has wasted so many years destroying my life, always wondering why I knew I was a good person but I did bad things and made poor decisions. Then a couple days ago, it all just clicked. Being abandoned by my father is something I always thought was just a part of life and I had moved on a long time ago, when in reality it shaped me to be the person I am today who struggles with all sorts of issues and had no idea why. People need to have this revelation before they are well into a marriage and kids and almost 30 with no definite career in sight.
