Hello everyone, I just wanted to come here and formally introduce myself and tell everyone a little bit about how God has brought me through some tough times. I always thought that I had a good relationship with God; I mean I went to church every week with my family and listened to the sermon. However, I knew that deep down I was just going through the motions and going to church because it was an obligation. A few years ago, my younger brother began drinking very heavily and became an alcoholic; I felt myself drifting even farther and farther away from God. I even blamed God for what was happening in my family; I would challenge God and ask him why he was not stopping my brother from drinking. I actually began to hate God because I thought that he had abandoned me in this hell that I was through. Then one night I was getting ready for bed and for the first time in quite awhile I decided to cry out to God like I have never cried out to him before. When I was finished praying and I was about ready to close my eyes and go to sleep when I heard a small voice saying, "I have never left you." That moment got to me so much that right then I surrendered my life to God. I still have hard times sometimes but now I know that God is going through every tough time with me.
