My family is ok with it. My boyfriend is ok with it. His family is ok with it.

I have just recently graduated with a Bachelors of Science and have no job. I am now living with my mom and I can't live with her anymore. I love my mother. I have a great mother, but I have no friends and my depression is coming back. I need to get out.

My boyfriend is going to Grad school and won't get out for two years.

I plan to move up there with him for a little bit till I am able to go to school in the spring and get a job. I then plan to move out and get my own place for a little bit until he graduates and we are able to get married.

Does anyone have any advice?

This is a Christian group and a major premise hear is that we should obey God and the instructions He has given in His Word. The Bible tells us that we were created for one man and one woman to live together in marriage for life. The problem with living together first is that even if you're sure you want to get married one day, how do you know he will stick with you, or even that you won't change your mind with time. Another problem with it is that statistics show that couples who live together first are more likely to get divorced once they do get married. The biggest problem is that not getting married up front shows a disrespect for God and/ or a lack of trust in God to provide and protect you for being obedient.

I also believe that our lives go better when we obey God and live by the principles in His Word.

Now you didn't specify that you don't plan to have sex while living with him. (I am aware that even among Christian young people there is an attitude that it's only adultery that sin, that is only sin if one or both are married to someone else. But Scripture says that if a couple have sex and neither is married, they are to get married. Doesn't God have a great sense of humor!)

If you think that you can live with him and sex is not going to happen, let me warn you that putting yourself into a situation with such high temptation is not a good idea. I think praying and asking God to provide, trusting Him to do it, would be a better idea.

Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear, but if I don't post the truth according God's Word, then it appears that I'm condoning sin. This probably isn't the right place to be posting a question like yours unless you really wanted to hear what the Christians on this site believe.

I believe in everything you say. Thank you for replying. It was about a couple of weeks ago that I had went up to where he was and stayed with him for two weeks. We have talked about sex many many times and both of us wants to wait until marriage. Moveing in with him will only be temporary seeing as how I believe in the way you do about living with a person you are in a relationship with. It is my only option financially.
