Anyone can join, you don't have to be "Christian". Belief in God is all you need. We have only 2 rules---1. God is in control 2. When all else fails, refer to rule #1.
While it is important to turn to God when times are tough, it is equally important to turn to him when times are good. For years I would pray to God during the most difficult times of my life. Hoping He'd save me from grief and heartache. One day I had a personal revelation that I needed to turn to Him and thank Him for the good that happened. "Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you." 1 Corinthians 11:2. I now thank Heavenly Father for the good days that He blesses me with. "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." 1 Thessalonians 5:18. I am grateful for a loving God and His Beloved Son who gave His life for us. Through that sacrifice our lives are enriched. Thank you so much for loving me. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
I've learned that gratitude is not only a matter of justice toward those deserving of it, but that it also increases the happiness of the grateful, by making us more aware of our blessings in life. In that sense, gratitude is a gift to both the giver and the recipient.
