My wife is not a religious woman, in fact she doesn't even believe in God. But I do. And I pray for her everyday. When I returned to church she always said that the church would make me decide between her and them. I always assured her that the church is all about family and families being together. Recently I told her that she comes first after God. God always comes first, then her, then my kids then everyone else. Today as I was at church I received a phone call from my wife telling me that she fell and couldn't get up. Not even blinking I rushed home to her aid. I took her to a walk-in clinic, she is fine except for some pain....nothing is broken. So I said that I put God first except in a case like this. My primary function as Christian and husband is to care for my wife. I may have missed church services today, but I know Heavenly Father knows that I chose the right thing to do. As a Christlike man helping others and serving God's precious children is first and foremost in my life. I told her today that she is always ahead of church. Church not God....God is always, always first.
