A dear friend of my mine once told me "if you want Italian food go to an Italian restaurant." This was in response to my idea of going to a Greek diner and to order pasta. I went to the Greek diner but ordered Greek food. Years later searching for answers to life's important questions I searched in vain to find them. I sought out my own answers and listened to many others. Most of the things I learned were false beliefs. I wasn't hearing God speak to me. This lead me to go where to find answers..to God. As I listened to God, by reading scriptures and going to church, I began to hear and to feel God's presence in my life through the Holy Ghost whom affirmed it to my heart, mind and soul. My faith has grown as I study each day God's sacred words. Do I know it all? Of course not, but God will reveal to me what I need to know. As I listen I learn. Those quiet moments I spend with God each day are most precious to me. The more I listen to God the more able I am to filter out the world's voice and allow God to enter in me. During my study of scriptures this morning I read Romans 10:17 which says "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." This I leave as a testimony that God grants us faith if we will but hear. In Jesus name...Amen.
