My name is texasmade I'm 34 and haven't had a drink in nine months I was a social drinker and an emotional drinker what ever the occassion I was ready to have a sip.I also have BP which makes my recovery more difficult it doesn't take much for me to seriously want a drink.I have dreams about drinking and feeling better. Although I'm sober right now today I feel I need help on my journey through recovery and would like to know where to start?!

Welcome, tex. I made my start here at DS then started going to AA. I got a sponsor, worked the 12 steps and drink is not a problem today. Are you seeing a doc regarding your BP?

Sure am, I attended an AA meeting with my sister once but I guess I was just too scared!

Nothing to be scared of really. (not that I wasn't scared) Just people like you talking about the solution.

Welcome! Good you are here. Feel free to ask any questions you like. Often things are frightening because we dont know a lot about them. Maybe thinking about going to AA will be easier if you know more?
