Any question is a good question. You should know up front that answers will be based in the 12 Steps however we have access to others that can help if we can't.

I always have heard, every question is legitimate, nothing should be disregarded in our fight or guided paths towards wellness. Boy I was a mess when I got here, but in spite of how felt, I wanted to recover from how I was feeling A Day at a Time. So I had to ask alot of questions.They said my best thinking got me here ,a double edged sword. I could find out what I suffer from and get better( both very positive.).

We have a thing in London called a freedom pass, it entitles you to free travel on buses, tubes, trains. It is for people on benefits, pensioners, etc.

I was at a meeting early on and heard a man share that he had just received his freedom pass and would now be able to get to more meetings. I thought a freedom pass was some AA thing that you got for good behaviour or length of sobriey or something that meant that you could go to meetings that "beginners" weren't allowed to. I was too scared to ask if that was the case and it was ages before I realised my mistake!


Just one example of me living in confusion because I was afraid to ask in case anyone thought I was stupid. It took me ages to work out that people genuinely wanted to help and no question was too stupid to ask.

Gosh nicky, it took me 4 months to pronounce Anonymity when I was asked to read the 12 Traditions. No one laughed at me (or threw rotten tomatoes or fruit!)

I couldn't pronounce God lol. But yes, anonymity, damn cant even type it ha ha.
