aa friends Community Group
Welcome. If you come to visit for the first time and have some questions feel free to ask. PM someone if you like but don't stay a stranger. We were all in the pit. We know a way out. No condemnation and no hammers. Just ask and prepare to make a load of friends.
Oh, but if I would just stop and be quiet more often, to hear the small still voice of God within. I must be more vigilant in my attempt to be connected in conscious contact with my power greater than myself. I am worth the healing, peace, serenity, and joy that comes when I spend most of my time in spiritual contemplation, prayer, awareness, studying the will of this power in my life, allowing this power to guide my thoughts, emotions, and actions. I just get caught up in the struggle, the pain, rather than allowing the struggle and pain to move me thru to the next realm. I miss the forest for the trees so-to-speak. The bigger picture is what I want to see clearly, the picture God is seeing, the picture that holds 'all' in it, not just my little picture-world of self. I am so glad this group is here. I have others where I address my physical pain and disabilities............ and the support there is much needed.............. but here, this is where I must begin and end each day........ as without my spiritual recovery and growth coming first, I fall, fast, back into my "dis-ease", (for lack of a better definition), and then everything else in my life is for not anyways. This must come first, my recovery from the foundation, or core problem, of all my other problems in life. They all stem from my selfish and self-centered-ness. When I can first be God-centered, then all the rest sort of takes care of itself.
Thanks again for the group to heal and recover in.... it is such a great place to be!
