I will be headed to Park City tomorrow for the weekend to engage in a spiritual energy rush for the Post Conference Assembly. As the GSR for my home group, I will be expressing the influence of an informed group conscious and the influence of the loving God in the room. The spiritual energy will begin on Friday as a small but well lit flicker. then by the time Sunday spiritual speaker ends the trip, we will all be pleasantly tired and filled with enough spiritual energy to take back to our groups and share it with them until the next time we need to go. I am so gratefull for the program to be here for me ans that it was here as I raised my kids and now my grand kids will have the opportunity to know they have options in this world given to us thru the Grace or a loving Power. I am so blessed to be able to do this work !!!!!!!!!!!!!! See ya all sunday

You are a better person than I. I went to one GSR meeting in the 90's, it was awful and I never went back.

It all went as well as can be with a room full of opinions and God trying to direct the outcomes. There are a lot of good people doing the work of General Service.I am not a better person than you!!! There is a time to do it and a time to let it be!!!! I too took a ten year break from the work at the district level because there were too many personalities flying around and I was not mature enough to deal with them back then. I ended a GSR mtg. once and expressed to to others in the room that I could go back to my family of origin and be abused just the same... and that I could really go for a good double shot of whiskey after the mtg. I knew then I needed to leave and do a dif. type of service somewhere else. I am a bit older now and have raised my kids etc and have a better hold on my own emotions and reactions than I did back then. Rotation is a good thing for more than one reason!! There is important service work to be done all over AA. This group is one of them for me. If you guys weren't here for me everytime I get to get on-line I don't know what I'd do. I need you guys a lot. I am unable to get to mtgs on any regular basis and I've been to maybe avg. one a month since last November. After being able to go whenever I wanted it is a shock to the system not to be able to connect person to person, face to face. Thank you all for being here.
I Will be at my daughters for a few nites helping with babies and doctor appts, and w/out a computer to connect in with so see ya on thurs n nite.
