Its a bit of a friday night cliche in the UK Going out drinking and ending up in a curry restaurant Which back in my drinking days I have some hazy memories of
I usually didnt eat much as I could never see past the alcohol
So it was so enjoyable to go with about ten AA friends after a good friday night meeting to a friendly indian place and enjoy lovelly food and a great atmosphere and lively conversation We all agreed that we dont do enough socialising out of meetings so hopefully we'll be back soon for more

For some reason every time I hear curry now I think of Bridget Jones. LOL Adorable movie. :-)
There's a group of us that go out usually twice a month or so on a Saturday night. The married AAs bring their spouses. It would be far too expensive to do it all the time, but it's great when we do it!! I remember the days of sitting home alone with my bottle and my misery and not seeing a way out. Not wanting a way out for a long time.
Life is good. I think I'll stick with sobriety.

Must be a universal thing for a lot of do a weekly ting also.
As far as not eating when I was drinking learned real quick it screwed up the effect what I was looking for, so eating was secondary.
