Faith

When I was driven to my knees by alcohol,
I was made ready to ask for the gift of faith.
And all was changed.
Never again, my pains and problems notwithstanding,
would I experience my former desolation.
I saw the universe to be lighted by God's love;
I was alone no more

God does reveal himself/herself. If I had not felt God in the rooms of AA I would have never been able to stay sober. The funny thing is I wanted absolutely nothing to do with the God that I had grown up with and that kept me away from AA initially.

When I finally had to give up - God was there ready to show me the light that you speak of.

For many even with long term recovery still say there HP/ and or god still say talks to them through the meetings. Whatever works!

Being justified by faith, we have peace with God. Romans 5:1 The trying of your faith worketh patience. James 1:3 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 2 : 26 Just alittle about faith,

I didn't even know it was faith at first. It's similar to a child living with the assurance that their parents will keep them safe and look after them. We can have that same faith with our HP/God. My faith grew strong as I worked the 12 steps and took a spiritual journey I'm truly grateful for.
