Assuming your friend's icon appears on DS, she is technically still here. To determine if she's active on the site, you could send her a hug/message or check if she has posted recently. Maybe someone else has other ideas.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon
