My granddaughter learned how to scuba dive when she was 12 years old. There are a lot of bad memories to those days, but the good that came out of it is all the wonderful Abalone she brought home!!! She got very good at it. I'm afraid of being underwater due to almost being drowned when I was little but I spent a lot of time in the ocean when I lived in San Diego. When we can, we should take a trip there, take some lessons, and go for it!!! Hugs

I would love it! Tom always says we have to do it before we're too old to do it. We are talking about getting Josh a kayak for his birthday in April.

I went scuba diving a few times and I always felt like I did the very first time ~ I felt like I was in a tropical fish tank - a really, really big tank!:)

Scuba diving sounds like fun. It does seem like you have some significant obstacles to overcome, but please don't let them stop you. If you sign up for lessons, the instructor may have some suggestions on how you can achieve your dream, in spite of them. Looking forward to hearing about your adventure some day!

I have decided on something new to add to my bucket list... Getting all of us who want to attempt scuba diving or already know how, to get together within the next 3 years in San Diego, and spend a few days at the beach scuba diving!!! Dreams CAN come true!!
