It is so sad to see these things happening all over the US. There is something wrong, people need to get back to the good morality that was taught to children when I was a child.
Babies having babies, People who are obviously "Bat Shit Crazy" need to be given help regardless of ability & we might see a decline in this kind of violence against each other.

My prayers are with those who are suffering in the hospitals wounded by this psycho, the families of those who were murdered as well as to the friends and co-workers who knew these people. To the rescue teems that arrived and attempted to do their best to save everyone.

I totally agree and am praying for all victims and their families as well as the people that came to their aide. This tragedy is so devastating and shows us that there is something lacking in today's society as well as with our government. They should be putting plans in place to see that unstable people receive necessary treatment in order for this type of thing to be prevented. They should also see that we have the proper protective forces in place to protect the innocent. Blessings to everyone!

So very very sad. In my opinion alot of this violence is not just the product of unstable people, but also being caused by the violent video games and movies. The young people growing up today have been desensitized to the horrific slaughter of human life.

I am remembering all of the innocent people whose lives have been affected by this.

Patricia, I totally agree with you. Yes the final responsibility lies on the parents to edit what their children see and have available to them, but there should be regulations in place which would not allow such material to be sold. There are many parents who have no idea what their children are being exposed to because they don't take the time to be responsible. And then again, many children learn such behaviors because of the bad examples set by their parents.

The violence is becoming more rampant, all over the world. Here in Canada, we just experienced a violent shooting, just after a block party for children! A 14 girl, and young 23 yr old lost their lives, (Monday the 16th,July) and several others have gun wounds, but not killed, but traumatized. Just shortly BEFORE this incident, there was that mid-afternoon random shooting in the crowds of people just eating in a mall food court in downtown Toronto. ( the Eaton Center is the name of the mall where it happened.) In Canada, we have very strict gun laws, more than in many of the US states, and still, it is happening. My prayers are with every single family affected by this tragic event.
We need to keep spreading kindness to the world around us..the world needs more kindness, and less hate.
Don't let this stop you from showing love and kindness to others..it is needed more NOW than ever!!
Also, I find that if I "pay it forward", and show a kindness after I have been treated kindly, I may make a difference in the world....one small act of kindness can maybe connect to someone who really needs help and encouragement...so, pay it forward my kind friends!

AlAnon taught me so much in such a short time; for instance, pray for those you "hate." I am remembering all the poor souls lost in such a tragic and senseless act of craziness and I am praying for all of them ~ all of them. They all need prayer; as I feel all the rest of us do as well.
Kindness is such a powerful sign that we all need one another to function...more kindness is the best thing we can do right now as I totally agree with those who mentioned it as being such a positive contribution we all can make to one another.
I hope and pray it is the last unkind thing we'll ever witness.
