acceptance of other ppl. of who they are has been a thing i have always believed in. why is it that most ppl can not seem to overcome this very simple thing.. like you angel i know so many different people of different cultures. beliefs. color, you name it.. every one of them is beautiful . it is sad that some people can not see beyond the surface of who they are. I have a friend in Beijing that is afraid to show her face. and I know why. all for her pictures are from a distance and does not show her face at all. she has a condition that takes the pigment out of her skin .and she has white patches on her. it is sad how society places such values on looks. also I have 2 friends that consider themselves as non gender or lack of gender.. they feel so out of place, not fitting any where.and are so tortured inside even thier parents have rejected them. it is so sad. I am proud to be thier friends and they are beautiful.

I remember once when I was a very young child seeing a woman with green legs. It took me a few years to figure out that she didn't really have green legs - she was just wearing green hosiery. I must have been about four or five years old.

Awesome post Angel!! I see so many people that are prejudiced over the smallest things... My mother was very prejudiced about African Americans though I had some awesome black friends in school! I have seen some horrible things in my life... when I was only sixteen I was on the fire engine that filled in a city station during the riots in Baltimore... we had bricks thrown at us, shot at hit by shovels... it was terrifying.... and we were trying to save THEIR houses that were on fire! Even now as a Minister I get it from the atheists. One tried to spit on me once!! Some people never learn!

Thank you Angel. And for those who responded. Rev., the mention of atheists spitting at you got my attention. I believe we must love all of Gods people. Even those who believe differently, those who hate, those who hurt others, etc. Jesus said that it is easy to love the lovable. Anyone can do that. As a Christian, I am called to love all, even the unlovable. Sadly, in this world there are those who do not understand such a simple principle. They hate. Let me be honest with you. Im a Christian and believe all non-Christian religions to be wrong. This is what Gods word teaches me. But as I mentioned previously, it also teaches me to love everyone. I don't have to accept their beliefs, I can even strongly object. But as for my heart, the heart God gave me, I must love all of His creations. Man included.

Rev Denny you are so right.some ppl never learn. it is so sad. I feel sorry for them.its a shame they let this rule thier life. what a waste of energy when it could be put to better use. it is so hard to understand why someone would choose to have so much hatred inside them.

It is very concerning that these people exist and cannot see the light that is available to them. When RevDenny spoke of being spit at, for some reason Rev Fred Phelps comes to mind. He claims to be a minister of Gods word, but speaks hate and only hate. My husband is a lay pastor, with hopes of being ordained and preaching full time. When we watch the things that this man is capable of, the vile words that come from his mouth, we are ashamed for him. God sent His Son to save us from our sins. To give us a chance at everlasting life. How disappointed He must be to see a man claiming to be His, speaking such hate. If you do not know this man, google him and you will understand what I am speaking about. Pray that he has a change of heart and that all of those he has lead astray are changed as well. Sorry a bit off of topic here.
